Today, while going through www.pluggd.in daily newsletter ,I read about Google SMS channels and not really surprised to see that Google India is cooking something that is called SMS channels, Since SMS subscription model (160/2) is already quite popular with Mytoday.com and SMSGupshup. Service reliability of SMS as a medium from Network operators is excellent in India as well as Indian people are quite a fan of SMS and “Missed calls” J
In fact the article on Pluggd even had mention for SMSGupshup. Now, it’s really a tough competition for Mobile VAS players when Google, the Big Daddy of web is coming to their small playground. For end-users, it’s really a delight, since they can get free of cost information.
